I search outwardly and inwardly, for the trace of your last visit.
Then, In that place, you have never been.
Now, in the place you have always been.
But this silence…is too loud.
‘What defines the existence of something?’
This film consisted of explorations about ‘life-death’ through a different lens; from Science to Philosophy, from West to East, from Absence to Presence, and from using animation to revive her to accept the impermanence of life. The Last Visit is a journey of my bereavement during the course of five years. Using books to create a poetic memoir about ‘her’ and my ‘in-between’ self.
Exploring book physicality and its interaction with the drawing and the creator’s hand, all with an ontological question towards ‘animation’ in mind.
