The focus of the “Speed of Spatial Change” is empty space as a material. Is it possible to only think about space itself, since there are always objects, fillers, time, bodies; can a space ever be completely empty? Black and white is a blurred border between being and non-being, such a phenomenon can be considered as collision and fusion. Although is the gradient itself the binding or separation of black and white? Colour in the installation deals with making distinctions within the domain, dividing and formalising boundaries into distinct and non-distinctive units – when does white begin and grey end for the eye, and when does grey begin and black end?
